You really have to try dim sum at Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant at least once. Maybe once a week? *joke* Here, they still have staff who push carts with a variety of foodstuff on it. As the carts pass by your table, you can pick and choose. Sometimes you know what you want; sometimes you select something spontaneously. Atlantic Seafood is a large restaurant. Because there are so many tables to serve, the product on the carts turns over quickly; in turn the products are fresh. Because there is an audience for it, Atlantic Seafood offers dim sum dishes you don't see in smaller restaurants. Having dim sum here is like a food vacation. It's a dimension of Cantonese food culture that seems to be slowly disappearing, here and abroad. BTW .. Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant is located within an interesting development. The complex has commercial and retail on the ground level. There are apartments above. There is ample, free underground parking.

Came on a Christmas eve mid morning and there were a few groups inside. So seating and waiting was never an issue. For those of you who need a quick location reference, it's upstairs inside the condominium complex...adjacent to the LA Fitness. Everything is run efficiently and smoothly, which is pretty common for Chinese spots here in the SGV. Also, it's one of the few spots left that has those traditional push carts. I love those carts, so don't get rid of them! Highlights for me were the siu mai - big and meaty, and the black bean spare ribs. I wasn't a big fan of the beef ball, which had this weird, spongy texture. Also, the juicy dumpling wasn't as juicy as I was hoping it would be, unfortunately. Came up a little dry. The other items we ordered - har gow and egg custard - were decent enough. Would I come back? Yes. There's enough on the menu to explore, the pricing is good, and the service is just as good.

20+ visits here over the past few years, and my consensus remains the same - my family, friends, and I are huge fans of Atlantic. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and portions are generous. I love everything, but (maybe less commonly ordered) highlights are: - pan fried noodles w/ beef (we took to go after dim sum and it was absolutely delicious) - congee, egg and pork (their congee is the BEST - so flavorful) - steamed pork BBQ buns (my personal favorite, hits every time) - egg tarts (good ones are hard to come by, but these are great) - fish balls (leng yu) Actually can't wait to be back.

Atlantic Seafood and Dim Sum deserves 5 stars! Finally, a place with truly great dim sum where the flavors are perfectly balanced--not overly salty like so many other places. I love the egg tarts. The are perfectly flaky and just the right amount of sweetness. The shrimp rice paper rolls are a must-try, super fresh and flavorful. The har gow and shu mai (pork dumplings) are both top-notch--perfectly generous shrimp filling. Another standout is the chicken bun, which I prefer over their red BBQ pork bun. It's soft and delicious, with just the right amount of savory filling. I also like to order their Ham sui gok (fried rice dumpling that's shaped like a football) I usually order to go and I put them in my toaster oven along with the egg tarts. Overall, I'm so happy to have found this dim sum place. It's my new go-to, and I'll be back for more soon!

ATLANTIC SEAFOOD & DIM SUM RESTAURANT is located in a complex with free underground parking. There was no line to get in, no line to get seated, and in no time at all, we had hot tea, water and the dimsum ladies crowding our table. Fast, delicious, accurate, friendly.
